K&N Engineering Enters the China E-Commerce Market

The supply chain group Tigers has supported the US manufacturer K&N Engineering to enter the China e-commerce market through the launch of a new flagship store on the online marketplace Tmall. It will be managing the service and build up the manufacturer’s omni-channel sales capabilities.

China is the largest e-commerce market in the world, with over 380 million online shoppers, and it is predicted that within the next ten years over 50 per cent of China’s purchases will be conducted online, said Paul Huang, Managing Director, China, Tigers.

Tmall is an e-commerce service aiming to help brands develop channels that will allow them to explore new markets, improve market share and operation performance, and optimise input costs. This way, businesses don’t have to worry about language barriers, legal representation, or personnel setup.

We handled the setup and design of the K&N Engineering store on Tmall and will develop bespoke marketing strategies to promote the products through campaign management, promotions and special offers, performance analysis, and customer service, explained Paul.

Tigers will be operating the store on behalf of K&N Engineering, providing content creation, customer service, and product content optimisation, while identifying and engaging with target audiences and drive traffic through marketing and promotion.

We launched the Tmall project to increase K&N Engineering’s presence in China, and to create a streamlined purchasing experience for Chinese customers, said Billy Su, China Sales Manager, K&N Engineering.

K&N Engineering is the world’s leading manufacturer of washable performance air filters and air intake systems. It sales over 5,00 products designed for cars, trucks, motorcycles, engines, and industrial applications in over 30 countries. Now, with Tigers’ help, the company is expanding in China as well.

Tigers operates 16 offices and facilities in China, supporting customers in industries such as automotive, fashion, healthcare, outdoor and active lifestyle, and wine and perishables.
