A strategic site next to the East Lancs Road on Merseyside allocated for development as a major warehousing and distribution centre is now available on the market.
Acting on behalf of William Fishwick & Son, the industrial and logistics team at the Manchester office of Colliers International and fellow commercial property agents Littler & Associates, are offering the Arc 130 eight acre plot on Haydock Industrial Estate on a design and build basis.
The site can accommodate a building of up to 132,000sq ft made up of a 120,000sq ft warehousing/distribution unit along with 12,000sq ft of offices with car parking and a yard.
Arc 130 is situated off Kilbuck Lane and can be accessed via the A580 East Lancs Road, which is itself within a mile of Junction 23 of the M6.
Haydock has established itself as a recognised site for distribution facilities in the North West of England with other occupiers of the Haydock Industrial Estate including J Sainsbury, Booker, CostCo and The Book People.
John Sullivan, director, industrial and logistics at Colliers International in Manchester, commented: Arc 130 sits at the heart of the North Westâs road network and offers businesses a rare opportunity to design and build a strategically located distribution hub to service customers throughout the region and further afield.
The ongoing imbalance between limited availability of such prime sites and rising demand for them from potential occupiers in the regionâs revitalised industrial and logistics sector leads us to be confident of attracting a high level of interest in Arc 130.
Earlier in the year, warehouse developer Bericote Properties prepared to submit plans for a 1.4m sq ft scheme in St Helens.
The Florida Farm North development, next to Haydock Industrial Estate, will include two major warehouses, one of 900,000 sq ft and another of 500,000 sq ft.
