Wells MP Visits Offsite Solutions Highbridge Factory

The Wells MP James Heappey has recently paid a visit to the Offsite Solutions factory located in Highbridge, Somerset in order to view the latest offsite technology as well as their expanded production facilities. At the Offsite Solutions factory, whole bathrooms are manufactured in order to be installed in apartments, student accommodation, healthcare, hotel and care home schemes.

The use of the latest technology be the offsite construction company means that they are able to deliver their bathrooms faster and at a consistently higher quality that would be achievable than working on a building site. During the local MP’s visit, her saw the production lines in place for both the steel-framed and composite GRP bathroom pods. James Heappey was also shown the company’s latest product innovations as well as the quality of the bathrooms created in the factory.

The Executive Director of Offsite Solutions, Richard Tonkinson has said that is has been great for the Highbridge company to have a visit from the Wells MP. The company is in the middle of an important phase in the development of the offsite construction solution business. The company has recently announced a record £30 million of orders placed with the company in the first six months of 2017. The company has also revealed that they are part way through the ambitious expansion programme that has been put in place to increase their manufacturing capabilities in order to meet customer demand.

The first two phases of the expansion plans put in place by Offsite Solutions have been completed. A new 45,000 sq. ft. factory has been created for the company to double their capacity for steel-framed bathroom pods. There has also been a £1 million facility created to increase the storage and accommodate as many as 3,500 pods. Going forward there is a planned £3 million investment into the company’s production operations in Highbridge as well as in a new and bespoke state-of-the-art factory. This will increase the capacity of the company’s operations as well as allowing the company a chance to manufacture up to 12.500 of their award-winning factory-built bathrooms each year.
