Manufacturing businesses here in the UK are set to receive a government funding boost, following the launch of a new government programme aiming to identify opportunities as well as drive growth and profitability. The Manufacturing Growth Programme has been set up to aid manufacturers through the process of Brexit in the best way possible, by providing a programme of supported solutions.
The improvement grant is available to any manufacturing business that employs fewer than 250 people and has a turnover of less than £43 million; therefore it provides the perfect opportunity for ambitious SMEs to acquire the help and guidance they deserve. The professional support can be provided in various different areas, such as a businessâ strategy and operations or through innovation and marketing.
The programme will be delivered by three East-Anglian based specialists, including manufacturing consultant Stuart Allan. Allan is in the perfect position to provide the necessary help and guidance to the participating businesses, after setting up and running his own multi-million-pound manufacturing business, facing and overcoming many challenges along the way.
Stuart Allen has commented, There is no doubt that Brexit will bring challenges, but I believe it will create many more opportunities for those businesses that are ready to exploit them. Identifying risk and potential, as well as developing and delivering the right strategies, has never been more critical for UK manufacturers.
After the shock of Brexit, 2016 was a surprisingly positive year for business. We still have uncertainty, but I believe, an incredible amount of opportunity in UK manufacturing and Iâm excited to be working with the regionâs businesses to help them grow and develop.
So could your business benefit from the Manufacturing Growth Programme? Then maybe it is time to apply for the grant if your company is eligible, as it could prove to be the catalyst for substantial growth!
