Success for ALA at the UK-Italy Business Awards

Success for ALA at the UK-Italy Business Awards

The UK-Italy Business Awards took place in Milan last month thanks to the UK Department for International Trade, and Advanced Logistics for Aerospace (ALA) were amongst the successful companies at the 2017 ceremony. ALA has been making significant investments into the UK market recently, and now the business has been recognised for this good work that has seen the acquisitions of several big name British companies along the way.

With the uncertainty surrounding the outcome of the EU Referendum still clouding many industries here in the UK, the importance of encouraging investment from foreign countries has never been as vital, and these awards help with this in regards to Italian investment. Last year, ALA announced the acquisition of STAG, an Anglo-French group, as well as Spectech UK, Spectech France, Spectech US and ACES, so it is clear that this company is constantly looking for new opportunities outside of Italy.

Roberto Scaramella, the CEO of ALA, has commented, Being a protagonist in the UK market is a key part of the ALA strategic priority for 2020, independently from Brexit. This award is confirmation that we are on the right path. This award incentivises us to further explore other opportunities, as we just opened a trading office in Texas, USA and we are about to begin commercial operations in China.

The UK Department for International Trade organise these awards alongside the British Consulate-General in Milan and the London Stock Exchange Group, Borsa Italiana, and the ceremony acknowledges Italian companies that have made significant progress and achievement from investing in the UK.

Here in the UK this is exactly the sort of thing we need to be encouraging now, and by recognising the work that companies like ALA have been doing it means that we can expect further investment into the UK in the future!
