Royal Honour for Dura Composites

Royal Honour for Dura Composites

Leading global supplier of composite products, Dura Composites, has received the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2017. This highly regarded accolade, which falls within the international trade category, was handed to the company last month to recognise the business’s impressive and sustained growth on an international scale.

The company was established back in 1996 and currently supplies composite products for flooring, structures and facades to the industrial, construction and rail sectors all over the world, as well as marine, landscaping and architecture. To be recognised through such an honourable awards scheme such as the Queen’s Award is fantastic news for Dura Composites, as the company’s outstanding contribution to enterprise has now been recognised and showcased to the world.

A specialist panel was responsible for judging each individual entry into the Queen’s Awards before making a recommendation to the Prime Minister’s Advisory Committee, with Her Majesty the Queen having the final say when she decided the eventual winners. Dura Composites has added its name to a desirable list which includes the likes of Dyson, JCB, Jaguar and Land Rover.

This award recognises our talented and committed workforce and comes at a really exciting time as we look to the future and the continued growth of our product portfolio, commented Stuart Burns, the Managing Director at Dura Composites. Many of our innovations such as our Dura Slab trench covers and Dura Platform GRP station platforms have revolutionised the categories for which they were designed and help to solve the key design challenges facing everyday businesses.

Burns went on to say how everybody within the company was immensely proud and honoured to have received this award, and he hopes that everybody can build on this success and use it as a platform to generate further success both in the UK and overseas in the future!
