Nuclear Power Expo & Cybsec-Expo 2026 Return

Nuclear Power Expo 2026, taking place 9th to 11th June 2026

Returning after a successful debut in 2025, Nuclear Power Expo 2026, taking place 9th to 11th June 2026 at Piacenza Expo in Italy, will bring together companies, associations, and institutions involved in nuclear technologies, engineering, energy infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing.

Nuclear Power Expo was created by Mediapoint & Exhibitions as a platform for the international nuclear sector to develop supply chains, exchange knowledge, and collaborate on strategies to achieve net-zero goals while securing critical energy infrastructure.

Since the last event in May 2025, the Italian government has passed a bill enabling the regulated reintroduction of sustainable nuclear power in the country. The initiative is aligned with European decarbonisation targets for 2050 and broader energy security objectives.

The legislation provides for the development of a National Programme for Sustainable Nuclear Power, the establishment of an independent Nuclear Safety Authority, increased investment in scientific and industrial research, the development of specialised skills and workforce capabilities, and the implementation of public information and awareness campaigns.

It means that for exhibitors and attendees there will be several urgent agenda items to discuss at Nuclear Power Expo that could help shape the industry in Italy and other major markets.

Critical talking points

The exhibition will once again be accompanied by an important opening conference organised in collaboration with AIN – the Italian Nuclear Association – one of the sector’s leading institutional representatives. Additional details regarding conference topics and participating speakers will be announced in the lead-up to the event.

The growing momentum behind Nuclear Power Expo reflects renewed international focus on nuclear energy as countries seek reliable, low-emission power generation, and stronger energy independence strategies. Italy continues to play an important role in the global nuclear supply chain through its highly specialised industrial expertise and participation in major international research and development initiatives.

The event is supported by several leading organisations and associations from across the nuclear and industrial engineering sectors, including the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA), Associazione Italiana Pressure Equipment (AIPE), the European Fusion Association (EFA), Women in Nuclear, and l’Associazione Nazionale di Impiantistica Industriale (ANIMP).

ENEA will again contribute scientific expertise in both nuclear fission and nuclear fusion technologies, while AIPE – representing Italy’s heavy mechanical engineering industry – highlights the country’s strong export-oriented manufacturing capabilities serving the international nuclear sector.

The return of CYBSEC-EXPO

Alongside Nuclear Power Expo, the second edition of CYBSEC-EXPO will continue to address the growing importance of cybersecurity and critical infrastructure protection across energy, utilities, and industrial sectors.

According to a 2026 IMF report, cybercrime is projected to cost the global economy USD $23 trillion in 2027, representing a 175% increase compared with 2022. As governments, businesses, and individuals become increasingly reliant on digital platforms and connected technologies, exposure to cyber threats continues to grow. These threats range from malware and phishing campaigns to denial-of-service and man-in-the-middle attacks, all of which pose significant risks to economic stability, critical infrastructure, and data security.

Against this backdrop, the importance of collaboration, resilience, and innovation in cybersecurity has never been greater, making CYBSEC-EXPO in June a timely platform for industry leaders, policymakers, and technology experts to address emerging challenges and strengthen collective cyber defence capabilities.

The event has received support from organisations including ENEA, AIPSA (Italian Association of Corporate Security Professionals), and CSA (Cyber Security Angels), underlining the increasing convergence between industrial operations, digital infrastructure, and cyber resilience.

As cyber threats targeting strategic infrastructure continue to rise globally, CYBSEC-EXPO will provide a dedicated environment for technology providers, security specialists, and industrial operators to exchange expertise and explore solutions for safeguarding critical systems and operational technologies.

“We’re in a really exciting time for both the nuclear and cybersecurity industries and it appears the best is yet to come,” says Fabio Potestà, director of Mediapoint & Exhibitions. “The strong support already received for Nuclear Power Expo and CYBSEC-EXPO demonstrates how central these sectors have become for Europe’s industrial and energy future. Our events aim to create opportunities for dialogue, innovation, and collaboration among institutions, technology providers, and end users operating in highly strategic industries.”

Platforms for collaboration and innovation

Both events will offer extensive networking opportunities, technical insights, and demonstrations of the latest innovations in nuclear engineering, cybersecurity, industrial protection, and critical infrastructure resilience. Greater collaboration opportunities will be created through the co-location of Nuclear Power Expo and CYBSEC-EXPO alongside a third event, HydrogEn Expo, forming a powerful meeting point for industries working together to deliver a more sustainable, secure and resilient global energy future.

Attendees will also have access to a variety of networking opportunities, including an exclusive gala dinner on Wednesday 10th June. Bringing together participants from Nuclear Power Expo, CYBSEC-EXPO, and HydrogEn Expo, the evening will offer the perfect setting to establish new connections, exchange ideas, and lay the foundations for future partnerships.

Further information regarding the conference programmes, exhibitors, and visitor registration will be released ahead of the event.
