Manufacturers and Suppliers Confirmed at IMHX 2019

The world’s leading materials handling equipment manufacturers and suppliers have confirmed their presence at the IMHX 2019, UK’s largest intralogistics event. With this decision, businesses have demonstrated their confidence in the future of the British economy.

The logistics industry brings a £1 trillion turnover and is of major importance to the UK economy; therefore companies need to invest into a stronger and more intelligent logistics infrastructure so that they meet the consumers and industry expectations. Currently 50% of available floor-space has already been allocated and close to 150 leading companies are set to exhibit. Clearly, businesses are optimistic about the future and are looking to invest in a post-Brexit Britain, said Rob Fisher, Event Director for IMHX 2019.

IMHX 2019 will focus a lot more on technology with the launch of a ‘Future Technology Zone’, which will be promoting the huge advances made in robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), and SaaS solutions. Machine Learning and AI are already having a major impact on the way supply chains operate and together with the rapid advances taking place in robotics, the distribution and fulfilment centres of today will look very different in the near future. We want to capture that excitement in these ‘Future Technology Zones’ at IMHX 2019, adds Fisher.

For 2019, the expectations are higher than ever before, with the organisers increasing their investment and the company target approaching 400. Those present at the show will be major forklift manufacturers, storage companies, information technology suppliers, and automation specialists.

The International Material Handling Exhibition (IMHX) is a tri annual event and is the largest and longest running exhibition for the logistics and supply chain industries in the UK. The 2019 edition is sponsored by Investec Asset Finance plc and will take place at the NEC, Birmingham, between the 24th and the 27th of September 2019.
