Karmelle are happy to announce that they have been nominated in the Huddersfield Examiner Awards 2016 in the Prohms SME of the Year category.
The nomination came as no surprise to the team due to the fact that over the past eighteen months they have managed to double their staff intake across both the office and workshop. As well as new staff members Karmelle have also managed to obtain two new machines, one through the Leeds Enterprise Partnership funding scheme, to increase productivity and to ensure that the majority of all machinery parts are now made in house in their factory in West Yorkshire.
These machinery additions mean that Karmelle were able to take on two new specially skilled employees. To accommodate the new machinery Karmelle were able to expand their premises. The larger workshop now means that Karmelle can take on larger and more challenging orders adding to their already impressive repertoire of bespoke machinery.
The Awards evening will be held at the John Smithâs Stadium in Huddersfield on the 3rd November and will be attended by various large and small businesses from the local area. Karmelleâs MD Peter Krawczuk says:
Iâm incredibly pleased and proud that Karmelle have received an SME nomination. We are proud to be a Yorkshire based company and to be recognised in this field is a brilliant honour. We produce the majority of our machinery parts in-house and itâs this dedication to producing UK based machinery that we believe makes us really strong contenders.
Now that Karmelle have made great progress in growing and outreaching their business their next goal is to attract larger scale orders from at home and overseas and to produce a greater number of turn-key packaging lines. In the meantime, Karmelle are still heavily invested in improving the skills of their staff and regularly allow members of the team to embark on college courses and outsourced training that benefit both themselves and the company.
