This recognition comes as a result of the company’s innovative recycling scheme aimed at helping customers responsibly recycle durable, mixed-material products.
Key Highlights:
- Recognition for Recycling Innovation: Jepson & Co’s pioneering recycling scheme has been recognised for addressing the challenge of recycling number plates, that are by nature highly durable and made from mixed materials. This initiative allows customers to return these products for responsible recycling, significantly reducing their environmental impact and promoting a circular economy.
- UK Green Business Awards: This award celebrates businesses that demonstrate exceptional environmental performance and innovation. Commitment to Internal Sustainability:
In addition to the recognised recycling scheme, Jepson & Co is also focused on enhancing its internal sustainability efforts, including:
- Low-Waste Manufacturing Facility: Plans are underway to develop a zero-waste manufacturing facility, aiming to reduce waste through innovative recycling and reuse strategies.
- Net Zero targets: our next Net Zero milestone is 2026, by which time we plan to have achieved several more environmental improvements including upgrading old boilers and resource-intensive equipment.
- Energy Efficiency Upgrades: Continuing renovations to facilities, including the 1970s factory, to improve insulation, lighting, and AC systems.
