The vehicle manufacturing company IVECO has announced that they have been awarded with the Gold Medal award as part of the World Class Manufacturing ceremony that took place on Friday the 5th June. The prestigious event was attended by Sergio Marchionne who is the Chairman of CNH Industrial and the Chief Executive Officer of CNH Industrial, Richard Tobin. IVECO forms a part of the CNH Industrial Brand therefore it was good to see these two leading figures watch IVECO receive the award.
The World Class Manufacturing event also provided the company with the ability to preview a brand new vehicle which will be coming to European markets in September. The Stralis X-Way in being prepared for its launch and is being described as a truck that excels in light and off-road work. The vehicle has been created by using the well known and popular strength that is found in the Trakker Chassis, however the new Stralis will also have a range of different fuel saving and safety features included. The vehicle has been manufactured in order to offer the driver more comfort and safety while carrying out off-road work.
The Stralis X-WAY will be a range of different vehicles that will have different engine capacities including 9, 11, and 13 litres. Tese different engine sizes will make sure that there is an option to suit a number of different potential clients and a diverse range of requirements. The trucks have been manufactured in order to offer the market’s best payload capacity in comparison to other Super Loaders that are available. It is thought that the IVECO 8×4 chassis that has been manufactured for this new range of vehicles has a kerb weight that is as low as 9 tonnes which is considered the lowest available within the industry. There has been a range of new technologies used during the manufacturing process of these vehicles in order to make the Stralis X-WAY better for working over long periods of time as well as improving the longevity of the truck itself.
