The European Materials and Industry Venture Forum 2017 is set to take place in Ghent this week, and this will be the perfect chance for businesses to showcase any potential investment opportunities in high-tec investment across Europe. The event takes place on the 8th and 9th of February, and will see innovative start-ups in circular economy, materials & processing and industry 4.0 gathering to participate in this forum in Belgium.
30 emerging companies and 6 European success story companies across the three sectors will be joining up for this two-day event, which is sponsored by Finindus, EIT RawMaterials, PMV, Capricorn Venture Partners, City of Ghent and Ghent University, as well as Flanders Investment and Trade, VITO, Arcelor Mittal, Gent BC, FCA, Vlaio and EEN.
CEOâs will be representing various different European businesses and will have the opportunity to receive feedback from industry experts and investors, who will form an expert panel of coaches. Each CEO will also be given the opportunity to run through their pitches as part of the âGrowth Academyâ, so the forum is going to be extremely beneficial for the participating companies.
So which names can we be expecting to show up in Ghent? Over 200 nominations have been whittled down to the top 30 European companies, spanning across ten different countries, and there are some big names in the final shortlist. The UKâs nominations for the forum come in the shape of Econic Technologies and Greenkote, with other companies from elsewhere in Europe including Aaltra, Cevotec, Paptic and Voltea amongst many others.
This forum has been running since 1998, and it has a proven track record in connecting innovative entrepreneurs with venture capital and corporate investors. So plenty of positivity will come out of the event in Ghent, in what is set to be a big couple of days for the parties involved.
