Celebrate the Achievements of the Laboratory Industry at the 2022 Lab Awards

Following a successful show in 2021, the Lab Awards will return on November 2, 2022, the first day of Lab Innovations, at the NEC in Birmingham. The awards, brought to you by Lab Innovations in partnership with Laboratory News, celebrate the key achievements of the laboratory industry, recognising the innovative work of individuals, suppliers and projects. Aspiring winners of the Lab Awards can now submit their applications on its website for a variety of categories.

The Lab Awards are an opportunity to recognise the achievements made by the top players in the lab industry, increasing awareness on the latest key innovations and projects. Examples of the award categories include: the best technology innovation award, the sustainable laboratory award, the diversity and inclusion award and the best stand award. The winners of these categories will be highlighted as industry leaders, who have shown the very best products, services and initiatives in the lab sector.

“We’re thrilled to be hosting the Lab Awards in partnership with Lab News for the second time,” said Aleiya Lonsdale, Head of Marketing at Lab Innovations. “The awards are a fantastic opportunity for individual laboratory professionals, lab initiatives and suppliers alike to be recognised for the fantastic accolades that power scientific research and development across all sectors. We’re looking forward to receiving this year’s entries and finding out what the community has been working on over the past year.”

One of the winners for the Lab Awards 2021 was Anthias Consulting, a consultancy and training company for the analytical sciences industry. The business won two prizes for the ‘Most impactful online or print training resource’ award and the ‘Most impactful F2F training’ award.

“For a small business like Anthias, we were very pleased to be face-to-face with our partners, colleagues and others in the industry after such a long time apart,” explained Alana Thompson, Website and Marketing Manager at Anthias Consulting, as she spoke about her experience as a winner of the 2021 Lab Awards. “We won two Lab Awards at last year’s event, so being recognised among the bigger names in the industry felt like a big achievement. We’ve already booked for this year and we would recommend the same to any new or previous exhibitor”

A shortlist of applicants will be chosen after the application submission closing date. The lucky few will then be judged by a panel of leading industry experts from across various organisations, associations and academic institutions. The ceremony will take place in the Insights and Innovation Theatre at Lab Innovations at 3pm on November 2, 2022. Following the ceremony, there will be celebratory drinks to commemorate the achievements of the winners and the ten year anniversary of Lab Innovations.

Have you achieved something in the laboratory industry that you think deserves to be recognised? Don’t delay! Submit your application for the 2022 Lab Awards on the Lab Awards website. Submissions close on September 16, so submit your application now to ensure you don’t miss out on the celebrations.
