New Appointments at Howard Ward Associates

New Appointments at Howard Ward Associates

Howard Ward Associates, leading consulting engineers, has announced the appointment of Mark Lusher as a principal engineer, and Babar Ahmed and Miles Foster as engineers. Together they will successfully deliver construction engineering consultancy services across a range of sectors, including education, healthcare, emergency services, commercial, and residential.

We have experienced a very busy 12 months and that is set to continue throughout 2018. To accommodate that business growth we are continuing to expand our skilled team and it really is fantastic to have so much talent join us, commented Dan Bailey, partner at HWA.

Mark Lusher has 15 years of experience in the industry, following his studies in civil engineering at the University of Bolton. He joined HWA from Arup where he worked as a senior engineer. As a principal engineer now he will be responsible for leading projects, supporting and mentoring the firm’s team and working closely with the firm’s client base.

I’m very proud to be joining such a well-established firm in the East Midlands. HWA has a very hands-on and proactive approach and I’m looking forward to building the client base further and working across the firm’s varied and extensive portfolio of projects, said Mark.

Babar Ahmed studied civil engineering at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow and he specialises in structural calculations. As an engineer at HWA he will be responsible for undertaking structural design calculations, producing drawings and liaising with clients and other project related consultants.

HWA has a fantastic reputation across the region and further afield and my skills are a good fit for the firm. With an ambitious growth strategy, it’s an exciting time to be joining the business and I’m looking forward to working with the team, said Babar.

The third appointment is Miles Foster, who is still studying for his civil and infrastructure engineering degree at Derby University. He will be responsible for creating civil engineering designs and structure drawings.

I have a passion for engineering and was keen to get involved with the opportunities and projects that HWA has to offer. An existing member of the team suggested me for the position and I’m so glad that he did, it is the perfect fit for me. I will have the opportunity to further my experience and skill-set and build a long-term career with the firm, said Miles.
