Mech-Tool Engineering Makes Further Appointments

Mech-Tool Engineering (MTE), one of the UK’s leading product manufacturer and global supplier of fire, blast, and heat hazard solutions, has made further appointments and internal promotions to strengthen its team. It has appointed an Operations and Engineering Director and a Group Planning Manager and promoted valuable team members to take on the roles of Director of Projects and Mech Tool Korea, Production Manager, Senior Project Manager, and Head of Finance.

Steve Thomas was named the Group Planning Manager and he joined the team in November, having had over 20 years of experience in the planning of many Oil and Gas projects. His new role involves supporting the planning team whilst also ensuring that project teams, as well as the wider business, receive full support in all planning matters.

David Bursnoll join the MTW team as the new Operations and Engineering Director, which will hold him responsible for all the Construction, Design, Document Control, Engineering, Planning, Production, and Project Management activities.

We are firmly committed to driving the business forward as we strive to use our expertise and experience to provide renowned services to many ongoing and new projects, and I am confident that our latest appointments will bolster our already progressive team, commented Anthony Jones, Managing Director at MTE, on the appointments.

The internal promotions include Carl Bussey, a former Manufacturing Superintendent who is taking on the role of Production Manager, ensuring that all existing and potential client production-based requirements and expectations are fulfilled in terms of delivery, timeliness, efficiency, and quality.

Carl Robert will become the new Director of Projects and Mech Tool Korea, making sure that all major projects between MTE UK and Korea are completed on specification, on budget, and in time.
The Senior Project Manager is Craig Swainston who will provide day to day oversight and direction to the internal production team, whilst the Head of Finance is Kerry Shotton, who previously held the position of Financial controller at MTE.
