Mech Tool Engineering Approved as a Manufacturer of CE Compliant Products

Mech Tool Engineering has been approved as a manufacturer of CE compliant products. The business is thought to be the North East’s largest product manufacturer and supplier internationally for fire, blast and heat hazard protection solutions, and has recently become an approved manufacturer of CE compliant products that will allow the company to widen their product offerings.

The company has Headquarters in Darlington, although they also operate out of a number of different offices across the world including Aberdeen, Houston and Korea. From now on, Mech-Tool Engineering Ltd, will be allowed to attach the CE markings onto their steel and aluminium protection products. These products are already well known around the world for their quality and effectiveness, therefore the new accreditation will be further reflection on the quality of the product.

As a part of the Construction Products Regulations, all structural steel and aluminium products that are supplied in Europe must bear the CE markings. This certification, the EN1090 is a marking that highlights those companies that meet the required standard for safety and performance in construction products across the EU.

Mech-Tool Engineering has been given the accreditation after a comprehensive inspection and assessment of the business’ manufacturing facilities. This assessment was carried out by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance, who are the world’s leading independent assessment services provider.

The Head of Governance Compliance at Mech-Tool Engineering, George Hodgson is thrilled at the new accreditation and will allow the business to work on larger and more high profile contracts within Europe with this new accreditation. The audit for the EN1090 accreditation went exceedingly well, with the company managing to achieve zero Non Conformance Reports as part of the audit. The feedback that has been given to the company as part of the assessment was also positive, with credit given for how Mech-Tool Engineering manage their operations and their team members.
