UK manufacturers association EEF has announced that it will be joining forces with leading R&D tax relief specialists Jumpstart, as part of the organisationâs Advantages Programme. The announcement was made yesterday, and it suggests that Jumpstart will be providing expert advice to EEF members in an attempt to secure their full entitlement of R&D tax relief.
Jumpstart will now be the official EEF Advantages partner, with EEF keen to ensure that its members are receiving the maximum support and guidance in order to allow them to fully benefit from their full entitlement. In 2016, manufacturing companies in the UK received funds of around £770 million thanks to the tax credit scheme, but the amount of businesses that werenât maximising the value or using the scheme at all was still high.
Scott Henderson, who is the Managing Director of Jumpstart, has expressed his delight with the partnership and is very much looking forward to working with EEF. Henderson believes that this will help to build on the significant engineering & manufacturing strengths within the company, and everybody at Jumpstart is welcoming the opportunity with open arms.
Jumpstart will be contributing to the development of dialogue on innovation, and the company will be supporting both large and small businesses in the submission of robust tax relief claims.
Charles Garfit, the EEF Membership Engagement Director, has commented, Our role is to support UK manufacturers and help them realise their growth ambitions in an ever more competitive environment. Investing in R&D is vital to attempts by manufacturers to do just that by increasing their innovation performance and productivity.
