ECA Holds Events Ahead of the New Wiring Regulations

ECA has announced a series of free half day events that are set to be held across the country, aiming to highlight the key changes in the 18th edition of the Wiring Regulations. The events are open to all ECA registered member businesses.

During the event, a programme of CPD workshops will be delivered by ECA technical experts and leading industry manufacturers, designed to provide reliable information and advice on the 18th edition of BS 7671. Those attending the roadshow will also be able to obtain one free copy of the BS 7671 Wiring Regulations publication, which normally retails for £95+VAT.

Moreover, attendees will have access to subsequent training from Certsure and JTL at discounted rates. More information about these courses will be provided during the roadshow.

“ECA is delighted to announce the launch of our #Project18 roadshow. Our industry experts, many of whom played a significant role in developing the 18th Edition, will be on hand at every roadshow to help you get your business ready for the changes and answer any questions you may have,” said Steve Martin, ECA director of technical.

The first confirmed shows are: 2nd of July in south London at Mercedes-Benz World, 4th of July in Cheltenham at Cheltenham Racecourse, 6th of July in Cardiff at All Nations Centre, 9th of July in Cambridge at Granta Centre, 11th of July in Derby at Riverside Centre, 13th of July in Manchester at Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground, 16th of July in Durham at Emirates Riverside Cricket Club and 17th of July in York at Aldwark Manor. More events will be confirmed for Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the West Midlands, the West County and Central London.

The roadshow is the perfect opportunity to network with others in the industry and take advantage of the showcased promotions and products. The new Wiring Regulations will be published on the 2nd of July 2018 and will come into full effect on the 1st of January 2019.
