AEM Trade Mission Heads to Cuba

AEM Trade Mission Heads to Cuba

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has confirmed that it is offering its first ever trade mission to Cuba in the Spring, and the organisation has sent out a message asking for any willing attendees to get in touch with the AEM in order to secure themselves a spot on the trip!

There will be huge opportunities both for members of the AEM and other visitors on the trip to take a look at the available business opportunities in Cuba as part of the all-inclusive trade mission, as recent developments in the country means that the economy is now more open to foreign business and investment.

Equipment manufacturing companies are likely to have a keen interest on the trip which takes places from April 3rd to April 6th, as it will help in identifying marketing opportunities for their products and services in Cuba, as well as educating these companies about commercial and political hurdles for conducting business in the country.

Key contacts can also be established with Cuban Ministries and Cuban companies involved in importation, procurement and distribution, with the UK companies then able to gain a better understanding of financial transaction rules & regulations. Onsite visits can also be undertaken during the trip to Cuba, and companies can then learn how to craft a business proposal unique to the Cuban market.

The needs of the industry are specifically addressed throughout the trade mission to Cuba, but the size of the group is limited and is on a first come first serve basis, with registration for the trip now open with a deadline of February 17th.

The trade mission requires a cost of $5,000 per participant, including a $3,500 non-refundable deposit, so to avoid disappointment you will have to register as soon as possible as the places are expected to soon be gone!
