Photopolymer Company, Photocentric, will offer a glimpse into the future of LCD 3D printing at next monthâs TCT show.
Visitors to the TCT show last year may remember the companyâs 3D printer debut as the firm chose the flagship UK show as the place to showcase its first entry into the 3D printing hardware market.
The particular machine was the sub-£500 Liquid Crystal 3D Printer which uses a 10 inch, high resolution LCD screen and specially formulated visible daylight resins that rapidly produce high quality models, in particular for the jewellery industry.
The company has earned itself a strong reputation in the manufacture of photopolymer resins since it relaunched in 2002 and since the 2015 show has gone on to repackage the technology in a number of different sizes including a smaller and cheaper version; the Mini Liquid Crystal.
This model was revealed in January at CES and features a 5 inch screen and at the event in Las Vegas the company hinted that two bigger models were to follow soon. Those machines are now set to go on display at next monthâs TCT Show 2016.
The Liquid Crystal Pro is the first of the two and is a large format 3D resin printer which includes a 20 inch LCD screen with a build platform of 45 X 28 X 30 cm and a 25 micron accuracy on the Z-axis and 137 micron XY resolution. The LC Pro is now available to pre-order at an introductory price of £2990 and will begin shipping straight after the TCT show.
Photocentric are also giving visitors a glimpse of the future with the first Liquid Crystal 3D printer using a 40-inch screen, which will be on the stand alongside its growing range of LCD machines and both daylight and UV curing resins.
Photocentric will be at TCT Show 2016 at NEC, Birmingham on 28-29th September on stand C34.
