Jaguar Land Rover Enjoys Best Ever July Sales

Jaguar Land Rover has achieved its best ever sales results for July, with a 34% increase on the same period last year.

The UK’s leading premium luxury vehicles manufacturer has reported retail sales of 44,486 vehicles for last month, mainly driven by strong sales of the Land Rover Discovery Sport, the Jaguar F-PACE and the Jaguar XE.

In the first seven months of the year, Jaguar Land Rover sold 336,052 vehicles, which is an increase of 23% on the same time frame in 2015.

Last month, the company delivered an especially strong performance in North America and China, with retail sales rising by 51% and 64% respectively when compared with last year.

Across all other regions, retail sales were up year on year: 38% in the UK, 24% in Europe and 2% in other overseas markets.

Jaguar Land Rover Group Sales Operations Director, Andy Goss, commented on the strong performance: This has been another record month for Jaguar Land Rover with impressive sales across both of our brands.

The Discovery Sport and the Jaguar XE have delivered record July sales performances and the Jaguar F-PACE is in popular demand with our customers, reflecting the global appeal of our strongest ever vehicle line up.

Thanks to record July sales of 31,288 vehicles (up 19% year on year), Land Rover secured its place as a world leading manufacturer of all terrain SUVs, with the Discovery Sport leading the way for the month in terms of sales with 8,392.

This was closely followed by the Evoque with 8,208 vehicles sold, while sales of Land Rover have reached 261,194 vehicles so far this year. This is a 15% increase on last year.

Meanwhile, Jaguar also reported its most successful sales in July ever with 13,198 vehicles sold, which is an increase of 91% on last year, which reflects the strong launch of the F-PACE along with continued strong sales of the XE.
