Industrial Thermal Solutions Manufacturer and Regulatory Compliance Leader to Exhibit at SPS Italia 2023

Watlow

Designer and manufacturer of complete industrial thermal systems Watlow, and leader in industrial automation, process control and data management, Eurotherm, will exhibit at SPS Italia, from 23 to 25 May, 2023, at Fiere di Parma. Together, the companies will exhibit from booth E stand 073B, located in hall 3, to demonstrate how industrial thermal solutions will enable more sustainable, future-proofed energy management.

For eleven years, SPS has gathered OEMs, suppliers and systems integrators from industrial sectors around the world to discuss the issues surrounding industrial automation. In 2022, there were over 800 exhibitors of automation technologies and digital solutions for Industry 4.0.

In 2022, Watlow acquired Eurotherm to combine its controls technologies with Watlow’s focus on thermal systems, with the goal of better serving all of the respective customers.

At this year’s event, both companies will exhibit a selection of solutions. The booth will host four key areas including power control solutions, complete thermal loop control solutions, Digital Engineered Solutions (DES) and, finally, data management and data integrity capability.

In area one, Eurotherm will showcase the EPower™ advanced thyristor power supply cabinet solution controlling a screw plug circulation heater. The EPower SCR power controller offers significant benefits including typical energy savings of ten per cent, a smaller footprint than a typical analog power supply and multiple communication protocols to support Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).

Showcasing a range of solutions for complete thermal loop control, area two will consist of process and temperature controllers, power controllers, heaters and sensors. The range includes Watlow’s FLUENT heater, PM PLUS temperature controller and Eurotherm’s EPC3000 range of programmable single loop process and temperature controllers, certified for cybersecurity communications robustness.

The companies will also showcase two digital engineered solutions (DES). This includes the Digital Fume Hoods VAV kit, a control and applications kit enabling IIoT digitization through an innovative approach to managing laboratory fume hoods life cycle.

Lastly, the data management and data integrity capability section will explore Eurotherm’s Data Reviewer, which helps users find, analyse and approve data more efficiently.

“The need for digitally enhanced products that embed Industry 4.0 capabilities is becoming more and more important,” said Giancarlo Quintana, southern Europe sales manager at Watlow. “This is alongside the desperate push for more solutions that enable electrification.

“This year’s SPS Italia is the most pertinent opportunity to explore these areas and demonstrate how, together, Watlow and Eurotherm can make a difference. We are continuously developing superior thermal solutions that enable smarter manufacturing, while supporting the transition to electrification.

“The booth is split into four key areas we think are crucial to highlight and explore at SPS this year,” continued Quintana. “Key products include the EPower Thyristor, designed for IIoT, with a smaller footprint and energy saving capabilities, and complete thermal solutions such as the combination of the F4T power controller, EPack SCR (Silicon Controlled Rectifier) power controllers for improved operational efficiency and productivity and Watlow’s Ultramic ceramic heater.

“Industrial automation is changing rapidly and SPS is an important platform for us to explore the challenges and solutions to support this shift. It enables us to demonstrate our capabilities for controlling a complete thermal loop while being committed to supporting decarbonization through electrification.

“We look forward to discussing this at SPS, where various technical and sales engineers from Watlow and Eurotherm’s Italian divisions will be available at the stand to answer questions from visitors.”

Watlow and Eurotherm will be exhibiting together in hall 3, booth E stand 073B, at SPS Italia, Fiere di Parma between 23-25 May, 2023.
