Skoda has introduced the new Sportline model as it looks to broaden its Superb range
The latest model is set to lead the range and is marked out by a lengthy kit list and a unique bodykit.
The Sportline Superb model comes with bi-xenon headlamps fitted as standard, a subtle body kit, rear parking sensors, Alcantara sport seats, 19-inch alloy wheels and sat-nav.
The model also comes with a sport chassis and Skoda’s Drive Select Mode which allows the driver to chose between the three modes of sport, normal and comfort.
It is available in nearly all engines in the Superb range, with only the lower powered 1.4 litre TSI petrol and the 1.6 litre diesel not available with Sportline. A DSG automatic transmission will be available, along with all wheel drive.
Along with the expansion of the Superb range, Skoda has also taken the chance of adding two new trims to the Octavia lineup â SE Technology and SE Sport, with the former replacing the existing business model.
In August both new trims will go on sale with the cheaper priced of the two being the SE Tech starting at £19,925.
It comes with adaptive cruise control as standard, along with auto lights and wipers, front and rear parking sensors and sat-nav.
Meanwhile, the SE Sport is priced from £19,990 and comes with cruise control, ‘dynamic’ sport seats, Bi-xenon lights, sat-nav and 17 inch alloys.
Skoda has also unveiled two new SUV models which, according to the UK chief, will transform the business whilst quashing some of the brand’s quirky distinctiveness.
The car manufacturer’s seventh model range, the new Kodiaq, is to be shown at the 2016 Paris motor show this September and is due to reach British dealerships by March next year.
It will be followed in early 2018 by the introduction of the latest Yeti model.
