Altair Announces AI for the Factory Floor Event in Collaboration with Warwick Manufacturing Group
Altair, a global leader in computational science and artificial intelligence (AI), has announced it will be hosting its third AI for the Factory Floor seminar and networking event at Warwick University on the 12th October 2023. The event is being hosted in conjunction with Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) and will be hosted at Warwick University campus near Coventry.
Manufacturers are embracing data science and AI technologies to collect, analyse and gain insights from their shop floor data; finding new ways to lower the cost of production, avoid downtime, improve quality, and bring more products to market, faster. Organisations yet to leverage their manufacturing data may be leaving profits on the table or running the risk of falling short of their customers’ expectations.
This free to attend seminar provides an opportunity to learn how other manufacturers are utilising data to identify hidden anomalies and delivering insights for next-level monitoring and maintenance of their manufacturing assets. Through a combination of presentations and live demonstrations, presenters including Volkswagen, Avery Dennison, Bitburger, WMG and Google Cloud will provide practical advice for audience members to learn from and take back to their workplace.
Whether companies are starting their initial data collection journey, need inspiration on how to use your existing data, or are looking to further increase the value being extracting from their manufacturing environment, the event is aiming to be a useful resource and learning opportunity to better understand applications of AI for manufacturing environments.
The agenda, which is viewable in full on the event landing page, includes keynote presentations from Prof. David Greenwood, CEO WMG High Value Manufacturing Catapult, Director for Industrial Engagement at WMG the University of Warwick; Martin Liebig, Senior Director Data Solutions at Altair, and Sarita Bahety, Head of Alliances and Partnerships, Europe at L&T Technology Services.
To conclude the event, all attendees are invited to join a guided tour of the Warwick Manufacturing Group facilities, including its battery manufacturing centre.
Registration is open on the event’s landing page.
