SolarEdge Technologies, a global leader in smart energy technology, will demonstrate new solutions for the commercial and industrial (C&I) sector at Solar & Storage Live 2022 (Birmingham, 18–20 October, Hall 3, stand B12). Visitors to stand B12 will see previews of the new generation of Power Optimizers for commercial applications; SolarEdge’s first inverter designed for large-scale ground-mount PV projects; and updates to the SolarEdge Home residential smart energy management ecosystem, including the SolarEdge Home EV home charger and an expanded suite of connected smart devices.
SolarEdge Sense Connect technology raises the bar in PV safety
The S-Series Power Optimizer range introduces SolarEdge Sense Connect, an industry-first technology that enhances system safety. It detects and reacts to abnormal connector temperature increases, stopping power flow before an arc can occur.
Installers are directed to the exact event location, saving considerable maintenance time.
SolarEdge 330kW Inverter for Large Scale Systems
Designed for large ground-mount installations, the SolarEdge solution includes a 330kW inverter and H1300 Power Optimizer, ideally suited for both virtual central and distributed configurations. This solution can offer a reduction of LCOE (Levelised Cost of Energy) due to SolarEdge’s DC optimised architecture maximising energy harvest with module-level MPPT. It can also reduce Balance of System costs with longer and fewer strings than traditional string inverter solutions.
Additionally, with continuous and granular module-level site visibility, asset managers can easily monitor the health of the plant with pinpointed precision, so repairs can be conducted quickly and more efficiently, thus maximising system uptime, safety and reducing operations & maintenance costs.
Harnessing the sun for mobility
SolarEdge has expanded its product offering with the launch of a Smart EV Charger. With rising electricity costs and increased demand for carbon-neutral alternatives, the SolarEdge EV Charger represents an opportunity for installers to drive profitable new business growth from new or existing PV installations. It does this by unlocking the ability for homeowners and businesses to use excess or stored PV energy for low-cost, green energy EV charging.
Drop-in area for installers
SolarEdge’s software suite handles the whole lifecycle of a project from design to installation and then on to commissioning and finally monitoring. Visitors to the stand will get live demonstrations along with the opportunity to discuss their own projects with members of the SolarEdge team.
Hear more from SolarEdge
Christelle Barnes, SolarEdge UK country manager will be speaking on Wednesday 19th October at 10:50 at the ‘Commercial & Industrial Theatre’. The presentation “Bolder solar solutions for UK energy independence” will focus on growth opportunities for installers including in home decarbonisation, agrivoltaics and commercial installation.
SolarEdge will also be participating in the Installer Training Hub alongside the standards organisation MCS, and the UK’s solar energy trade association, Solar Energy UK, giving additional opportunities for visitors to connect with experts.
