ERIKS Industrial Services, part of ERIKS group, has partnered with Alcumus SafeContractor to manage contractor compliance and drive health, safety and environmental transparency in their supply chain.
Health and Safety is at the core of ERIKS philosophy, using accredited contractors will help ERIKS meet rigorous standards to continuously improve safety when working on large customer sites. Access to the portal will enable decentralised teams to work with local suppliers and track people on site with confidence. As part of its continuous improvement in supply chain compliance, ERIKS will also be looking to adopt Alcumus Info Exchange software for supplier documentation.
Using SafeContractor will also provide peace of mind that ERIKS environmental, social and governance standards are being met by pre-qualifying contractors and suppliers beyond health and safety.
Adam Hicks, Head of Procurement at ERIKS, commented:
“We work with some large blue-chip organisations and sometime require contractors to support us on customer sites, as well as our own. It’s essential that we have clear insight that they’re following the correct procedures and protecting our reputation with the customer.
“Since its inception, ERIKS has had a strong commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainability. By prequalifying our contractors for policies like environment, modern slavery, quality etc we can ensure that our supply chain reflects our values, enabling us to grow sustainably and ethically as a business.
“Digitising these processes allows us to be agile with our suppliers, stay on top of things and to drive behaviour in a way that paper-based processes cannot. SafeContractor provides peace of mind that contractor standards are meeting our environmental, social and governance obligations.”
Helen Jones, Chief Operating Officer, Enterprise at Alcumus, commented:
“With increasing legal requirements and higher expectations that businesses demonstrate compliant practices, ERIKS sets the right example in that responsible businesses need to adapt to manage risks and transparency in their supply chain. SafeContractor plays a vital role in supporting our clients in meeting their compliance needs and the confidence that they’re working with prequalified accredited contractors who have the same high standards.
“We’re thrilled that ERIKS has joined our community and we wish them every success. More than 480 leading organisations and 33,000 contractors have selected SafeContractor to help create better workplaces, keep people safe, reduce risks and simplify processes.”
