An executive summary of the Government’s ‘Clean Air Strategy 2018’ has been published by Fraikin, the contract hire, fleet management and rental specialist. The summary highlights key information and calling for fleet operators to take part in the consultation process.

It also packages essential information from the Department for Environment Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA) long-awaited consultation document, published in May 2018, which sets out the Government’s stall for what must happen to improve UK air quality.

“The road transport industry is undergoing transformational changes around vehicle emission standards and what becomes law will depend on what comes out of this consultation process,” said James Walker, Commercial Director of Fraikin.

“We’ve prepared this summary to help fleet operators keep informed on the relevant topics from the 104-page white paper. It also encourages businesses to contribute to the debate over air quality and emissions by responding to the DEFRA consultation,” he added.
