British Airways Diversifies Services to Moscow

Passenger flying to Moscow would be happy to know that starting with the 28th of October 2018 British Airways will be introducing a service to Sheremetyevo Airport in the north of the city. The carrier will switch one of its three existing daily services between Heathrow and Moscow to Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO) instead of Domodedovo (DME), providing easier access to the north of the city.

“By changing one of our three daily flights to SVO we are opening up the north of the city for our Russian customers and giving more options to our UK-based travellers who need to get to that part of the city when they arrive into the capital,” said Joerg Tuensmeyer, Head of Sales for Europe.

Located 18 miles northwest of central Moscow and 26 miles of southeast Moscow, Sheremetyevo airport will benefit from an Airbus A321 to operate the new route. Fares are available from £269 in World Traveller, £338 in World Traveller Plus and £1,000 in Club World.

Moreover, British Airways is adding a four-per-week service to Marrakech from Heathrow from October, the 28th. Services will operate on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and the return fares start from £132 in Euro Traveller and £332 in Club Europe.

The new routes are part of British Airways’ £4.5 billion, five-year customer investment plan, which also includes Wi-Fi and power in every seat, fitting 128 long-haul aircraft with new interiors and adding 72 new aircraft to its fleet.
