Blue Bird Corporation, a leading bus manufacturer, best known for its school buses, has named Dana Inc the Supplier of the Year.

There are 450 production suppliers that work with Blue Bird and Dana managed to earn this honour by introducing new products that align with Blue Bird’s commitment to safety, quality, durability and serviceability, while also exceeding on-time delivery goals, delivering cost-saving initiatives, and providing exceptional parts and service support.

Dana is a worldwide supplier of drivetrain, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that offers a complete range of drivetrain solutions – the Spicer medium and heavy-duty single-drive axles, SPL Series driveshafts, and Spicer end yokes.

Mark Wallace, the Executive Vice President and President of Dana Commercial Driveline Technologies commented on this achievement that both companies have been working together for more than 25 years in which they improved the safety, performance, and efficiency of school buses. Dana was founded more than 100 years ago in 1904, and it employs nearly 29,000 people in 34 countries on six continents, with sales of nearly $5.8 billion in 2016.

The company was included in Fortune 500, an annual list published by Fortune magazine that ranks the 500 of the largest United States corporations by total revenue in a specific year.
