The power tool manufacturing company Hitachi Koki Co. Ltd have announced that they will be changing their company name to Koki Holdings Co., Ltd. These changes will be put into effect from the 1st June 2018.
Because of this complete rebranding exercise by the company, the full line of power tools that have been manufactured as Hitachi or Hitachi Koki will now be sold under the new name of HiKOKI. This complete renaming will be taking place with effect from October 1st 2018. The company will also be working to establish a subsidiary as their European headquarters which is called Koki Holdings Europe GmbH. The headquarters will be based in Dusseldorf, Germany. This new location has been created in order to reflect the strategic importance of the European market. The subsidiary company is already up and running, starting to operate last month and will carry out the parent companyâs activities in Europe.
The company has delivered award-winning innovation in the manufacturing industry over the years. The company has developed a solid business performance for more than 70 years and now the company is focusing on developing a truly international company while ensuring that they maintain the companyâs traditionally Japanese heritage.
Hitachi has said that, as part of their work the company fully commits to increase their growth alongside a dynamic new partner in KKR as they look forward and focus on becoming a global leader in the power tool manufacturing and the development of life-science instruments. Hitachi is an award winning manufacturer of power tools and has been at the forefront of product development for a number of years.
This rebranding will offer a great deal of opportunities for the company as they look to expand their audience on an international scale. Hitachi was first founded in 1984 as a manufacturer of coal mining machinery and equipment as well as electric power tools. The company has always had ambitions to distribute their products worldwide. One of the first moves to realise this dream was in 1987, with the opening of a purpose built head office in Milton Keynes.
