MDBA UK Appoints new Managing Director

Aerospace Giant Airbus has Filed a Patent to make Airliners

A manufacturer of missiles and missile systems that are used by all three arms of the armed forces, MBDA UK has revealed that they have appointed a new Managing Director. Chris Allam has been selected to fill this role, and will also join the MBDA’s Group Executive Committee.

It is thought that the appointment will be effective from the 1st January. Chris Allam will be taking on the role of Managing Director in replacement of Dave Armstrong. Dave will be leaving MBDA UK in order to join BAE System’s newly formed Air Sector.

Chris Allam has a wealth of experience that will no doubt be beneficial in his new role. The new Managing Director will be joining the company from BAE Systems, a company that he has been working at for decades, since 1988. Chris has a great deal of specialist knowledge that will be of use to MBDA UK and is also a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society as well as the Royal Academy of Engineering.

The CEO of MBDA, Antoine Bouvier has said that he wishes Dave Armstrong every success as he goes on to his new role in the newly formed sector of BAE Systems. The CEO also thanked Dave for his contribution to MBDA and their predecessor company. Chris will be coming to the missile and missile systems manufacturer with a proven track record of success at BAE Systems. It is thought that Chris has demonstrated throughout his career that he has the skills and attributes to lead MBDA in the UK and take the company from strength to strength.

MBDA is a multi-national group that is jointly held by three prestigious shareholders; Airbus, BAE Systems and Leonardo. The company is the only European group able to design and produce missiles and missile systems that can meet a wide range of current and future needs of all three of the armed forces.
