Nim’s Fruit Crisps, the only UK fruit crisp manufacturing company has announced that they have signed their first deal with a leading supermarket. The manufacturer of air dried fruit and vegetable crisps have agreed a deal with the Co-Op.
The manufacturing company has been in talks with a number of major retailers over the course of the last 12 months with a view to offering their fruit and vegetable crisps for shoppers. The crisps maker creates all of their produce at a bespoke factory that is located in Kent. The company will begin to have their products stocked on the shelves of the Co-Op with three stock keeping units available at more than 60 different stores across the South East of England.
Nimâs Fruit Crisps is the creation of entrepreneur Nimisha Raja, and has had a successful year of growth in 2017. The entrepreneur has managed to secure contracts with Handmade Speciality Products, an education and healthcare specialist, as well as a range of independent shops, online platforms and export agreements that will see the air dried fruit and vegetable crisps carried by distributors to Belgium, France, Germany, India, Israel, Italy and Saudi Arabia.
Co-Op promotes the sourcing of healthier and locally sourced products, which is a great match for Nimâs Fruit crisps, manufactured with 70% British ingredients. With this shared ethos, it was decided that the Co-Op would be the first supermarket to stock the crisps.
The products manufactured at Nimâs Kent facility are fat, gluten and dairy free and have been created in a BRC accredited facility in Sittingbourne. The manufacturing facility used by the snack company has the capacity to create more than 12 million packs of crisps a year. The fruit and vegetable crisps produced by the company are the only vegetable crisp brand licensed by the Department of Health as â1 of you 5 a dayâ.
