A range of weberfloor products have been used as part of the refurbishment works at the Flitwick HQ of Saint-Gobain Weber. The work being carried out is significant and involves the complete renovation of a 240ã¡ of industrial and commercial space. Saint-Gobain includes a collection of different popular and well known construction companies in the UK and Ireland. These companies include Weber, British Gypsum, Jewson, Isover, Celotex, Glassolutions, Saint-Gobain PAM and Ecophon. Saint-Gobain also operates in 64 other countries, employing more than 180,000 people around the world.
The old training workshop at the Bedfordshire HQ is being demolished and replaced with a new product storage area. The floor required pre-treating and priming with the weberfloor 4716 primer before the weberfloor products were added. After this, the weberfloor 4160 industry top floor screed was added. This product has been manufactured to be pumpable, quick drying and self-smoothing, an ideal product to use in this space, as the time allotted for the renovation of the Saint-Gobain HQ was limited. The screed selected however dries rapidly and can have foot traffic 2-4 hours after the product has been applied.
The screed, when properly dried and complete has been designed for areas with intensive levels of traffic, and is therefore well suited for this industrial space. The facilities undergoing renovation are used often by staff of Saint-Gobain Weber and oversea visitors, therefore it is important that the work on this area is completed as quickly as possible. Weberâs selection of floor screeds is all manufactured in the UK and have been designed in order to offer speed, durability, strength and smoothness. Weberâs products are known for being the most technically advanced on the market and the ease and speed of application allows fast access for following trades and moving the entire project forward along at a faster pace
