Andover Delivers Trailers for 3b Construction

3b construction, the family run civil engineering and construction company has received their delivery of new tailor made truck and drawbar trailer combination vehicles. These vehicles have been manufactured and supplied to 3b by Andover Trailers.

The vehicles that have been supplied by Andover Trailers is an Andover plant body that features a 53mt crane that has been developed by Palfinger, and has been fitted onto a new Scania R580 8×2 rear-steer truck. These trucks have been joined by an Andover 24-tonne tri-axle drawbar trailer. The bespoke combination that has been created will allow 3b construction to more cost-effectively transport a larger volume of plant equipment to their sites. It is though that the addition of these Andover vehicles will help the civil engineering and construction company expand their business reach.

The Barr family running 3b construction has been working with Andover Trailers for over 30 years, consistently choosing them due to the company’s reliability, precision and engineering as well as an exceptional standard of build that has led to the family maintaining their business relationship with the vehicle manufacturer and supplier. The benefits of working with Andover is showcased in the bespoke creation of an additional bespoke low-loader that is currently in the process of being built for the civil engineering and construction company.

Despite the long established working relationship between the two companies the relationship hasn’t always been exclusive, I fact the new vehicle that is being supplied by Andover will replace a 6×2 DAF that had been fitted with the body of a competitor, a decision based on costs. Returning to Andover adds a greater assurance of strength and quality as well as a longer lasting vehicle, making them more cost effective in the long term.

It is thought that these new vehicles will be in operation for at least nine years. The truck and trailer will be working on a variety of different construction plant payloads to jobs taking place throughout the UK. The vehicles will also provide added support to 3b construction’s sister company 3b crane hire.
