The Automotive Hall of Fame has played host to some of the biggest name sin the automotive industry over the years, and now it looks as though Alberto Bombassei is set to join the long list of influential names. Bombassei is the President of Brembo, an acknowledged world leader and innovator in the field of automotive disc brake technology, and he is set to become only the ninth Italian to be inducted into the Automotive Hall of Fame.
Bombassei has been nominated for induction, and the Italian will deservedly be bestowed with this prestigious honour at the official ceremony taking place in Detroit in July.
Alberto Bombassei has commented, I am very thankful to the committee who nominated me for this great honour. This recognition makes me very proud and I want to share it with all the Brembo employees who, for over 50 years, have helped our unique products to become known and used globally on the worldâs most prestigious vehicles.
A satisfaction that goes beyond the addition of my name to the prestigious list of those, who like me, have dedicated their lives to the automotive industry. The entire Brembo community will be honoured with me in pursuing a continuous commitment to excellence.
Around 800 individuals have been inducted into the Automotive Hall of Fame so far since it was established over 80 years ago, including influential industry figures such as Henry Ford (1967), Ferdinand Porsche (1987) and Andre Citroen (1998), as well as Bombasseiâs fellow Italians in the shape of Enzo Ferrari (2000), Ettore Bugatti (2000) and many more.
So we now know for sure that the Brembo President will be receiving this honour in July for his many years of hard work, and you can be sure he will be joined by some high profile company in the automotive industry!
