Premier Timber Bought by Kellaway Building Supplies

Kellaway Building Supplies

Premier Timber and Building Merchants from Worcester has been purchased by the Bristol based independent family owned business Kellaway Building Supplies, extending Kellaway’s list of functioning branches to 12. This news will see Premier move sites but stay on the same trading estate, which will allow the company to have much more space to operate in which means the range of stock as well as the standard of facilities will be vastly improved.

I am delighted to be welcoming all of the Premier team into the Kellaway Group. We see Worcester as a vibrant, growing city and a great opportunity to extend our reach into a new geographic market said Kellaway Managing Director, Julie Milligan. This purchase further develops our branch network enabling us to better meet our customer’s needs, wherever in the region our work takes them. This year has been a busy and successful one for us and emphasises the company’s commitment to growth across new markets and to remain an independent merchant.

The decision to buy Premier and keep the operating facilities in Worcester is huge for the company, who as well as keeping things running in the same area will also be keeping on some of the influential staff that made Premier a success initially.

We are all very excited about joining the Kellaway Group and see an extremely bright future for the branch said Premier’s manager, Collette Curtis, who will be continuing her position despite the changes for the company. The staff and I are delighted to be part of a larger organisation that gives us security, investment and career development as well as generating more benefits for our customers.

The changes will be implemented in early 2017, so the future is certainly looking bright and there is a lot to look forward to at Kellaway.
