Meech International has announced the Hyperion IonCharge30 (25W) as the newest compact static generator designed to provide precise and reliable charge control for temporary electrostatic bonding in packaging, plastics and print-finishing applications.
The increase in power from 15W to 25W makes the Hyperion IonCharge30 Meech’s most powerful compact static generator to date. Its additional capacity provides greater flexibility and headroom for more demanding applications. The extra power allows users to achieve the same pinning effect across more challenging and thicker materials, wider webs and at faster line speeds.
Key benefits include:
· Greater application flexibility, including core pinning, use of new, more sustainable substrates and higher line speeds.
· Improved suitability for wider webs and thicker materials, where stronger electrostatic bonding is required, capable of supplying generator bars approximately 40% longer than previously possible.
· Reliable operation at temperatures up to 55°C, enabling use in more challenging environments.
· Smart-factory ready, offering integrated monitoring, remote control function and PLC connectivity for incorporation into automated manufacturing processes.
Developed in response to customer demand for a compact unit delivering 0–30 kV output voltage and 0–1 mA output current, the Hyperion IonCharge30 has been engineered for applications requiring greater capability and dependability. Independently adjustable voltage and current settings allow users to optimise applications such as pinning, bag making and card insertion, where temporary electrostatic bonds can improve process stability, product quality and production efficiency.
Featuring a cooling fan and automatic output derating, the Hyperion IonCharge30 offers reliable operation in high-temperature environments. Its full 25W output is available at ambient temperatures up to 35°C and it will automatically adjust output as needed to protect the equipment up to a maximum operating temperature of 55°C.
In addition to a colour touchscreen interface for configuration and real-time monitoring, the Hyperion IonCharge30 also offers connectivity to PLC-compatible industrial networks, allowing for remote control and integration into automated lines.
Its compact footprint and 24V DC power supply via an M8 connector simplifies installation and integration into both new and existing production lines. Twin high-voltage outputs also enable the use of multiple generator bars, increasing application versatility.
“The Hyperion IonCharge30 gives manufacturers greater flexibility when working with challenging materials, wider webs and higher production speeds,” said Richard Walker, Product Manager at Meech International. “By combining increased power with precise charge control and integrated monitoring, it helps operators optimise performance while maintaining reliable and consistent temporary electrostatic bonding.”
The Hyperion IonCharge30 (25W) is UL listed and part of Meech’s IonCharge family of static generators and is available in both positive and negative polarity variants.
