Lancashire-based manufacturer, Kelmore, has announced sponsorship of local athlete representing Great Britain, Leah Hoole.
Leah, from Darwen, is a talented young triathlete who has achieved remarkable success and is rising through the world of endurance sport.
The sponsorship will help cover Leah’s race entry fees and kit costs as the 20-year-old prepares to compete on some of the biggest stages in international triathlon, representing Great Britain in her Age Group Team against the world’s best athletes.
Leah has already established herself as one of the country’s brightest young endurance talents. In 2025 she competed in the iconic IRONMAN Lanzarote – which is widely regarded as one of the toughest races in the global calendar due to its challenging terrain, strong winds and demanding conditions – and qualified for the for the World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.
Her success has continued closer to home. Most recently, Leah delivered another outstanding performance at the IRONMAN 70.3 Bolton, winning her age group and finishing fifth female overall. That result has secured her qualification to the biggest world stage, Nice, France, taking place in September to compete at the prestigious IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships.
Andy Moss, Operations Director at Kelmore, said: “At Kelmore, supporting Leah is about more than sponsorship – it reflects our ongoing commitment to investing in the local community and helping local people reach their potential.
“I’ve known Leah and her family for a long time and have watched first-hand the courage, determination and discipline she brings to everything she does. The commitment required to compete at this level, particularly at such a young age, is extraordinary.
“Leah is a fantastic ambassador for our area and we’re delighted to play a small part in helping her achieve her ambitions on the international stage and the whole team wishes her the very best as she takes on the next chapter of her sporting journey representing Great Britain’s Age Group Team.”
Leah added: “I’m incredibly grateful to Kelmore for their support. Competing in triathlon at this level comes with significant costs and having local businesses believe in what you’re trying to achieve makes a huge difference.
“To have the opportunity to race in Great Britain’s kit and compete at events like the World Championships is something I’ve dreamed about for years. I’m excited for what’s ahead and thankful to Kelmore for helping me continue this journey.”
Leah’s achievements have attracted increasing attention within the triathlon community, with many tipping the young Lancashire athlete for an exciting future in the sport. Despite balancing the demands of training and competition, she remains grounded working full-time and focused on the challenges ahead.
Kelmore, a new manufacturing start-up trading for just over two years, has achieved early success in the tiling and flooring industries supplying tile adhesives, smoothing and levelling compounds and grouts.
Based in Chorley, Lancashire, with a team of 72, this is just one of several ways they are giving back to their local community.
