Witness the Future of Precision Engineering at FANUC’s New Machinery Event

injection moulding

A brand new FREE machinery and manufacturing event from industrial automation experts FANUC UK is set to showcase the future of injection moulding, robotics and CNC manufacturing. Taking place 27-29 January 2026 at FANUC’s Coventry headquarters, ‘The Future of Precision Engineering’ will bring together live machinery demonstrations comprising the latest automation solutions, expert speakers, real-world case studies and an exhibition area featuring innovations from over 30 of FANUC’s plastics and machining partners.

ROBOSHOT

Plus, visitors to the event will be the first to see the all-new FANUC ROBOSHOT S350C injection moulding machine, as the event plays host to its official European launch.

In addition, representatives from some of the plastics industry’s most influential organisations – such as the British Plastics Federation (BPF), Bloom-in-Box and Applied Data Science Partners – will take part in presentations and panel debates that address the biggest challenges facing precision manufacturers today. Topics on the agenda include ways to reduce waste, tips for increasing efficiency and productivity, how manufacturers can combat the skills shortage, the rise of AI and the importance of sustainability – all in a bid to help firms become more resilient, competitive and future-proofed in both the domestic and international marketplace.

Live automation cells

Nothing beats seeing a real-life demonstration of the latest technology – and in this regard, visitors will be spoilt for choice. Live FANUC automation cells in action during the three-day event will include:

ROBOSHOT injection moulding machines

  • S130iB – LSR machine with FANUC 6-axis robot take-out
  • S150iB – LR10 robot mounted on a 7th linear axis
  • S150iB – Twin shot Si20A
  • S180C – LR10 handling solution with integrated conveyor
  • S100iA – Training demonstration
  • PLUS the European premiere of the all-new S350C model

ROBODRILL & ROBOCUT

  • D21MiB5 Plus – RC12 Tuscan tending unit
  • D28MiB5 ADV Plus – Nikken 5-axis table solution
  • C600iC – RS mould insert

The event will also host a lively exhibition area featuring over 30 leading names across the plastics and machining sectors. Companies set to showcase their latest technology include Piovan, Mold Masters, Ultrapolymers and Solinatra.

Expert insights and real-world success stories

Hosted by MTDCNC’s Lyndsey Vickers, the event’s morning sessions will offer presentations, debates and case studies that reflect the issues at the top of precision manufacturers’ agendas right now.

Each day has a distinct theme:

Day 1 – Manufacturing a Greener Future: Precision Meets Sustainability

Following the opening address by FANUC UK’s Andy Armstrong, Stephen Hunt of the BPF will set the context for the event by dissecting the results of the organisation’s recent Business Conditions Survey. A panel discussion on ‘Rethinking Manufacturing Through a Sustainability and Energy Efficiency Lens’, as well as presentations from four key exhibitors, will round off the day. Visitors can also enjoy a free lunch, as well as the opportunity to tour the exhibition area at their leisure.

Day 2 – AI and Connectivity: Shaping the Future of Competitive Manufacturing and Driving Efficient Growth

Representatives from the Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) will address the hot topic of AI in their presentation, entitled ‘AI at Work: Accelerating Manufacturing’. This will be followed by a panel discussion on AI in Manufacturing, as well as exhibitor presentations and a packed exhibition area.

Day 3 – Education and Training in Manufacturing: Levelling Up the Workforce and Bridging the Skills Gap

The final day’s presentations begin with a session on why education and training are crucial to the future of manufacturing. This will lead into a panel discussion on ‘Building the Future: Industry’s Role in Inspiring, Upskilling and Empowering Talent’, followed by exhibitor presentations and live machinery demonstrations by over 30 companies in the exhibition zone.

Driving the future of precision engineering

“It’s an honour to be able to open our doors and invite the UK’s brightest manufacturing talent to experience the future of injection moulding, robotics and CNC machining with us,” says Tom Bouchier, Vice President FANUC Europe North West Region and Managing Director of FANUC UK.

“Automation, robotics and digital manufacturing are critical tools that are driving the future of precision engineering worldwide. To continue competing on the international stage, British firms must embrace these technologies and leverage the productivity, sustainability and efficiency benefits they bring. I can’t wait to inspire visitors this January to level up their operations.”
