Wachendorff Adds IO-Link to WDGA Encoders

Wachendorff Automation is expanding its portfolio of absolute encoders in the WDGA series with variants featuring an IO-Link interface. This makes integration into modern automation environments even easier, more efficient, and more future-proof. 

The new IO-Link encoders are based on proven EnDra® technology – a maintenance-free multiturn principle without gears or batteries. They offer high resolution of up to 16 bits (singleturn) and 43 bits (multiturn) and are equipped with the fast IO-Link COM3 interface. The devices are ideal for use in packaging machines or roll-to-roll processes.

• Smart Sensor Profile (SSP) for easy integration 

• Integrated status monitoring (temperature, voltage) 

• LED status display for operating states and errors 

• Parameterization via IO-Link master possible 

• Resolution: up to 16 bits (singleturn), 43 bits (multiturn) 

• Protection class: IP65, IP67, IP69K (depending on type) 

• Compatible with standard IO-Link masters and unshielded cables 

• 64-bit profile available for particularly demanding applications
