Leading refrigerated vehicle supplier Petit Forestier has secured a new partnership with pharmaceutical distributors Mawdsleys, expanding its presence in the UK pharmaceutical sector.

The deal, which will see Petit Forestier supply 69 vehicles to Mawdsleys over a three-year period, will help the Manchester-based company continue to maintain its high service levels.

Mawdsleys, the UK’s largest independent pharmaceutical distributor, have been operating for just under 200 years, supplying vital medicines to hospitals and healthcare providers across the country. This new partnership reinforces their commitment to providing a consistent and reliable service to customers.

“Due to the nature of our sector and our products, refrigerated vehicles play such a crucial role in ensuring we can deliver our products on time and in full, which is why working with a dependable cold chain logistics partner is so important to us.  says Emma Dutton, Senior Marketing Manager at Mawdsleys.

“Petit Forestier’s extensive network of depots, as well as their 24/7 roadside assistance, makes them the perfect partner to help keep our refrigerated vehicles on the road and ensure we continue to deliver a consistently high service.”

The 69-vehicle fleet consists of a combination of fully-liveried panel vans and box vans, across various leading brands including Ford and Mercedes, over a three-year period.

Craig Welborn, Head of National Accounts at Petit Forestier, adds: “We couldn’t be happier to be partnering with Mawdsleys in this deal. Like us, they’re a company with a long and reputable history and we look forward to working with them over the next three years.

“This is an exciting development in the pharmaceutical sector for us, our expertise in the cold chain sector has allowed us to expand our service offering into a new industry.

“Our depot coverage and service levels continue to give us an advantage over competitors, allowing us to quickly get customer vehicles back on the road, something which is so important to help them achieve their goals.”
