JETCAM recently announced the release of CrossTrack version 5.7 which includes over 140 new features, enhancements and fixes. While many features enhance and extend existing functionality for both composite and sheet metal users, this release also includes two new modules to deliver full line automation for sheet metal manufacturers.
Key features include:
- Significant optimisation and reduction of SQL database size: Potential reduction of over 70% to the database size, improving overall performance, especially over slower networks.
- Expanded support for sheet metal users: New line automation options available that can control loading, cutting, unloading and sorting of parts.
- Legacy NC file integration: Legacy NC files can now be scheduled alongside JETCAM-generated nests, allowing customers to standardise on a single schedule for both legacy and new nests.
- Enhanced connectivity: Many new web services and alerts ensuring that CrossTrack can exchange manufacturing data with virtually any ERP, MES or hardware system.
- Material technology management: CrossTrack now allows a single material type to be associated with multiple ‘material technologies’, such as laser cutting with different gases.
- Material stock barcode functionality: Users can now use the material stock code as the barcode, enabling companies to receive material directly from suppliers with barcodes that can be immediately scanned and recognised across the shop floor.
Said Martin Bailey, Managing Director; “This is our third major software release in almost as many months, demonstrating our commitment to investing heavily in development. CrossTrack is already in use by many composite manufacturers, both small and large. This release delivers more functionality for composite manufacturers, along with extending its reach into the sheet metal sector, with features such as support for material technologies and raw material handling, unloading and sorting systems.”
Existing customers with a current maintenance contract can download the release for free from JETCAM’s Customer Portal.
