~ a single source for marine engine solutions~

The market for marine engines and luxury yacht solutions is booming. Around the world, the increase in the number of ultra-high net worth individuals is helping to drive this demand, and we’re strengthening our offering to support it.

Today, we’re the number one choice for yachts over 40 metres long thanks to our robust and reliable mtu yacht engines and unique bridge-to-propeller strategy.

Number one for yacht engines

The shores of idyllic islands like the Maldives and Ibiza are abuzz with luxury vessels. And there’s a strong likelihood that many of the yacht engines powering those over 40 metres are manufactured by our mtu solutions brand.

Our integrated diesel and hybrid propulsion systems deliver the power and performance our customers need while remaining compact, durable and quiet.

When our customers buy our yacht engines, they gain the added benefit of systems integration expertise and our mtu NautIQ intelligent electronic management system to enable better control, precision and handling.

Even better, our hybrid solutions help to reduce noise pollution and meet the latest emissions regulations, so yacht owners can explore coastal beauty spots with confidence. All of our mtu Series 2000 and 4000 engines for yachts are already approved for use with synthetic diesel fuels like HVO without adjustment, enabling possible CO2 savings of up to 90%.

Yacht solutions for every need

As the leading provider of yacht solutions, we want to ensure we’re supporting our customers across their full quota of needs – from bridge to propeller – including fully integrated bridge and automation systems, engines and highly efficient, fuel-saving Pod propulsion.

That’s why in 2023, we acquired yacht bridge and marine automation experts Team Italia Marine, combining their leading-edge integrated bridge products and regulation, control, automation and navigation systems with our worldwide distribution network.

Today, we’re able to offer yacht owners automation technologies ranging from propulsion control to complete vessel automation for vessel area monitoring and better manoeuvrability. Our bridge systems enable more intuitive, easier and safer navigation and advanced crew assistance systems provide autonomous control and situational awareness. Digital solutions such as equipment health and performance management deliver increased availability and reduced fuel consumption for a smaller carbon footprint.

For yacht owners, the real benefit comes from the harmony of all systems coming from one single source. Our integrated systems enable easier interplay between components, allowing our customers to satisfy the specific needs of their vessel’s operation.
