Sirius Buying Group leading buying group in the electrical appliance and kitchen retail sector celebrated the strength and innovation within the independent retail sector at its eagerly anticipated spring gala dinner, which brought the company’s annual International Conference to a close.

Sponsored by long-standing Approved Supplier, Hotpoint, the gala dinner took place on 21st May 2024 at the luxurious Tivoli resort in The Algarve, and provided Sirius with a great opportunity to thank all Approved Members and Suppliers to the group for attending this year’s International Conference in Portugal, with a three-course meal, presentation ceremony and live music to dance the night away!

With a range of tributes throughout the evening, Sirius Buying Group were delighted to recognise one of its newest Approved Suppliers to the group, Waterline. Considered the largest one-stop supplier to the electrical appliance and independent kitchen retail sector, Waterline joined forces with Sirius in January this year and even though it was the company’s first-ever International Conference, Sirius was extremely proud to be able to award it with ‘Best Supplier Presentation’ on the night. Offering members a range of unique deals and product innovations throughout the 2-day conference, Rob Taylor, Sales Director at Waterline says, “We are so proud to have made such a big impact at our first Sirius event, which is testament to our product offer and its ability to help electrical appliance retailers venture into the world of kitchens.”

Steve Jones, Managing Director at Sirius says, “We recognise the hard work it takes for all our Approved Suppliers to present their extensive product ranges, promotions and services to our Members. This year, Waterline were acknowledged for going the extra mile and supporting our members with 34 of the best brands in kitchen furniture, appliances, sinks, taps, wirework and ancillary kitchen products. Informative and future-forward, the Waterline presentation provided those at the conference with a great overview of both brand and business, the partnership we’re forming together, and the benefits this will bring to our Members.”

The gala dinner also included some impactful fundraising, where Members and suppliers to the group got the chance to bid for prizes, and together helped raise a staggering £10,000 to support ongoing charity work. Mark Veysey, Head of Operations at Sirius Buying Group says, “Over the years we have been humbled by the incredible generosity shown by everyone within the group, and this event was no exception.”

Marking the end of its 14th International Conference, the Sirius spring gala dinner saw Approved Suppliers and Members to the group come together with market leading brands like the Electrolux Group, Midea UK, Haier, CDA, Franke, Hotpoint, Rangemaster, BSH Group, Smeg, RKW, Waterline, D.A.D. and many more!
