The new Accelerate Your Safety Leadership workshop aims to help evaluate, test, and importantly, improve your organisations’ safety practices and behaviours emphasizing the pivotal role of a robust safety culture and effective safety leadership.
Accelerate Your Safety Leadership is designed for directors, managers, and front-line employees with responsibility for safety-critical activities. It can help you view your safety practices and behaviours through a legal lens to galvanize change and help bring about actionable safety performance improvements.
Delegates have the opportunity to:
- Critically evaluate their current safety practices from a legal perspective.
- Explore safety culture, safety behaviours, and safety leadership.
- Gain hands-on experience of what it may be like to give evidence in a court of law or at an inquiry, and;
- Reflect, re-focus and improve their own safety-critical responsibilities and leadership.
Jointly delivered by experienced OPC psychologists and Cath Brown, barrister (non practicing) from Skilful Conversation, the facilitators bring a wealth of experience in safety culture, safety leadership, legal representation in court, and training and development.
One of the distinguishing features of this workshop is it’s immersive, interactive learning approach using a real-world, business-specific case study and courtroom role play. This unique opportunity allows critical evaluation of existing safety protocols and safety leadership. Facilitated follow-up discussions enable participants to reflect on their own safety-critical responsibilities, leadership abilities and development areas along with space to identify enhanced safety performance initiatives for implementation in their work place.
