FABTECH Canada 2024

FABTECH

FABTECH Canada, the premier event for Canada’s metal forming, fabricating, welding, and finishing industry, concluded a successful three-day run at the Toronto Congress Centre. The event brought together world-class suppliers, industry experts, and cutting-edge technologies, providing the nearly 7,000 attendees with numerous opportunities to connect, learn and explore new products.

The exhibit floor featured over 270 exhibiting companies showcasing the latest equipment and technology, including the newest fiber laser cutting machines, automatic press brakes, robotic welding solutions, spraying systems, and much more. Visitors benefited from the hands-on product demonstrations and expert insights into current and future manufacturing trends.

“FABTECH Canada 2024 exceeded expectations,” said Mark Hoper, Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, senior vice president of expositions and media. “The show floor was full of energy and excitement, with attendees actively engaging with exhibitors and discovering new solutions to their manufacturing challenges. The success of this event is a testament to the strength of the Canadian manufacturing industry and its commitment to quality, innovation, and global competitiveness.”

The event was also a hub for inspiration and collaboration. The panel discussions, keynote presentations, and the show floor social facilitated meaningful connections, while the conference sessions and workshops covered trends, best practices and offered solutions to drive growth and profitability. On day two, the popular Women of FABTECH program made its Canadian debut, sparking important conversations about diversity, equity and inclusion in the industry.

“The inaugural Women of FABTECH was truly inspiring,” said Tracy Garcia, CEM, group director – FABTECH Series at SME. “The panel discussion featuring prominent women in manufacturing provided a platform for sharing experiences, fostering mentorship, and championing greater participation in manufacturing. It was great to hear stories from leaders in the industry who are paving the way for future generations.”

Exhibitors reported a high volume of qualified leads and a strong sense of optimism. “FABTECH Canada was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our products and solutions,” said Tobias Kuehnle, managing director, TRUMPF Canada Inc. “The attendee traffic was steady throughout the show, and we generated an impressive number of high-quality leads. We’re very pleased with the results and look forward to FABTECH Canada 2026.”

“FABTECH Canada 2024 was a resounding success for our company,” said Matt Walter, marketing manager, Westway Machinery. “Our booth was buzzing with interest throughout the event. We had the opportunity to showcase our innovative solutions to a very engaged audience and connected with a tremendous number of qualified leads. We’re thrilled with the outcome and eagerly anticipate FABTECH Canada 2026.”

“FABTECH Canada 2024 was a great platform for us to showcase our latest technologies”, said Shota Hamamoto, president and CEO, MC Machinery Systems Canada. “We connected with decision-makers from across the industry and generated many high-quality leads. Overall, it was a highly successful event.”

FABTECH Canada partnered with the CWB Group, an industry-supported private sector organization providing welding certification, management systems registration and training services. The CWB Group held its CanWeld Conference 2024 on June 12-13, educating attendees on the latest welding technologies, and current issues affecting the welding industry.

FABTECH Canada is held in Toronto every other year. Plans are already underway for the next edition in 2026. For more information, visit fabtechcanada.com.
