MEM Awards : MEM Awards is proud to announce the third of its confirmed judges for this year’s much anticipated manufacturing and engineering awards. The first confirmed judge for this year’s awards is Steve Statham, Head of Group Business Development, The MTC. Steve is an accomplished business consultant with almost 20 years experience in innovation and R&D related activities. Steve began his career with Pera (Production Engineering Research Association) in Melton Mowbray working directly for a wide range of companies from multinationals to SMEs covering projects like new process development, identification of new markets, and competitor analysis. Steve then went to work at Loughborough University in the Systems Engineering Innovation Centre helping to run a European funded + UK funded programme (Transport iNet) aimed at embedding innovation into SMEs involved in the transport sector through the provision of grants. Finally Steve joined MTC in March 2011 heading up business development. Steve has helped to grow the company from an initial base of 3 industrial members to over 100 including the likes of Rolls Royce, General Motors, BAE, Unilever, Hewlett Packard, London Underground and HS2.
