MAN Supplies Second Vehicle to Tamar Nurseries Ltd

MAN Truck and Bus, the well known and market leading truck manufacturing company has successfully launched a second vehicle which will be used by the Wisbech-based Tamar Nurseries Ltd. The company decided to commission the second vehicle after being impressed with the TGM 26.290BL Day Cab that they had agreed to as part of a seven year contract through MAN Financial Services in 2015.

The new vehicle that will be supplied to Tamar Nurseries Ltd is a MAN TGL 12.1280 BB Day Cab. The company have been impressed over the course of the last two years with their MAN TGM 26 tonne truck which has been supplied as part of a contract, which allows the company to manage and keep track of the regular payments and outgoings in regards to the vehicle. The truck also goes through six weekly maintenance checks, booked ahead at the start of the year and are carried out by Tamar Nurseries’ dealer Imperial Commercials. This systems allows the company to plan ahead and is incredibly efficient.

Tamar Nurseries now operates two trucks as part of their company’s operations, both of which are MAN vehicles. These new trucks will help the company in their operations of developing and supplying hardy nursery stock. The company grows stock that ranges from 3lt to 75lt plants that have been selected specifically because of their horticultural merits or because of their hardiness. The company is known for being flexible and working alongside their partners in order to tackle logistical issues while operating. Tamar Nurseries works with a range of local authorities as well as on larger landscaping projects.

The new MAN Truck has been fitted with a tailor made body that has been developed by Priden Engineering. One of the features of this body is the smooth roof which means that trees and shrubs can be transported without being damaged. The Priden developed body of the vehicle also features a cantilever tail lift as well as a four camera safety systems and a near side warning system.
