IVECO Manufacures and Supplies New Trucks to David G Davies & Sons

David G Davies & Sons has taken delivery of IVECO’s new flagship heavy truck. The Derbyshire-based haulage company is one of the first operators in the UK to receive these new heavy trucks, adding to their fleet with two new Stralis XP tractor units. This pair of new vehicles feature a 570hp Cursor 13 engine.

The combination that has been selected by David G Davies & Sons is a combination of the most powerful truck to be manufactured by IVECO to date and the advanced features that are offered by the New Stralis XP, which delivers best-in-class fuel efficiency, sustainability and Total Cost of Ownership. The New Stralis XP models also feature a new driveline and have new electrical systems and electronic architecture which incorporates the most up to date GPS-based predictive driving functions.

David G Davies & Sons has been supplied with the two new 6×2 mid-lift tractors by Northern Commercials. These two new vehicles will add to the haulier’s 16-strong fleet and are the company’s first ever IVECO vehicles. The trucks will operate from the haulage company’s main site, located in Glossop and will be used to transport polystyrene packaging throughout the northwest and across the UK.

IVECO has also offered an exclusive uptime guarantee to David G Davies & Sons, as part of the launch of the New Stralis XP and NP models. The uptime guarantee significantly improves the aftersales support that is offered and will maintain the efficiency of the vehicles. This exclusive guarantee states that is either of the two trucks are suffering downtime, any Truck Station or service point within the IVECO dealer network is guaranteed to get the vehicle back up and running within 24 hours. In the unlikely event that the truck is not back on the road within this time frame, financial compensation will be offered any downtime that exceeds 24 hours.
