Aprilia has become the last MotoGP manufacturer to unveil the colours it will carry in 2017.
The Gresini-run outfit took the covers off the RS-GP recruits Aleix Espargaro and Sam Lowes will race this year at Aprilia’s base on Friday and revealed a revamped livery.
After a delayed start with its first bespoke MotoGP bike last year, Aprilia made progress throughout the 2016 season, especially after introducing a new frame at Misano.
Espargaro, arriving from Suzuki, has been impressed with the package that now includes a heavily-upgraded engine, setting the 13th fastest time in the Sepang test and then the 10th fastest time at Phillip Island.
Rookie Lowes has spent the pre-season focusing on his step up from Moto2, mainly riding Aprilia’s 2016 bike.
The launched RS-GP does not feature the revised fairing Aprilia tried at Phillip Island last month, as MotoGP manufacturers seek solutions for the now-banned winglets.
Testing concludes in Qatar with three days from March 11, before the season opener at the Losail circuit a fortnight later.
